This was an over due conversation.
It was a conversation that happened too many times in the past, present, or future. The setting was always simple, yet the atmosphere was always quite formal. It made many halt their breath as they peer their ears to listen to the light words that exchanged in the air. The words that came from Death and Time.
"Give me a reason to continue let them live."
It was the same sentence, same expression, same spoken tone, and the same two people sitting face to face with each other. Death would always pulled back his black hood as he revealed his slender pale face toward Time. Time would always held that light irritate expression as her eyes glittered with gold that seem to able to brighten all darkness. Their postures would always be straighten back, hand cross on the table, legs slightly casually folded as they sat there in silence for a long moment. Their eyes would locked onto each other as the silence debate flickered through them.
It wasn't until much later that Death would slowly sigh as he leaned back onto the chair as he lingered that odd smiled around his lips to reply back to those words.
"I just like watching the chaos ripple in the timeline."
Time would always rolled those golden eyes before giving a mischief smile around the lips as if agreeing to Death's words. True. Time in the universe was a large spam that lingered into infinity. It was the infinity that lead to many wired things to fold and unfold. It was the same infinity that lead Time and Death to always debate over which shall live and which shall be distrusted. Well. In a metaphorical speaking of course, as Time and Death can't swung the blade to kill all unless something unbalance happened.
"You and your odd sense of humor."
Death would always snort on Time's reply. He never quite understood Time's sense of humor just as Time never under stood his light pleasure in his unlimited life.
"Yet, you had the habit to live among them to see this chaos unfold."
Those words rolled down from Death's mouth as Time lightly laugh like a string of bells ringing in the air. She didn't deny that little part of statement. She seen the rise and the fall of many, she still keep on seeing it as she always joked Death and her Husband bring too much fun to deny the front row seat.
This was Time.
This was the Infinity.
