Present

2015 A.D.

Beep Beep Beep....

Smack.

A hand slowly creep out under the covers and quickly smacked upon the offending noise before rolling back into a ball. The figure snug even deeper into a yarn ball as the sun ray creep through the thick curtains. Finally the last straw of waking up the yarn ball was the constant beeping of the computer than follow with a disturbing ring tone ringing through the mobile. The hand reached out blindly toward the nightstand to try and stop the annoying ring tone.

The ring tone merely stopped for a moment before the computer screen located at the far end of the room light up popping up a video chat with a bald man sitting promptly waiting patiently for the figure among the bed to acknowledge him. After a long moment, it was clear such acknowledgement wouldn't be noticed. The bald man spoke in a odd humor tune.

"Spider. Itchy tiny little spider....."

It was the last straw needed for the figure to snap open her dark brown eyes to glare right at the bald man upon the screen. The motion... well it was a flip of the bird, a clear indication of her not so happy mood.

"Yikes, you are more cheery than normal."

The woman rolled her eyes faintly as she slowly slide herself upright leaning against the headboard as she made a tap tap motion to indicate her patients running extremely low. The bold man grumbled as he turned his head just a bit to hear someone on the back calling his name,

"Merlin! I need that escape route right now! Holly Shit, they are after me!"

The bold man - Merlin gave an irritated look as he typed away as he grumble under his breath, "They think I'm some sort of machine, I mean... We all know there are two A.I machine battling in United States... I really don't need to input into that battle field."

The woman rolled her eyes as she slide out of her bed as she let her lethal nudity body been seen in daylight. Of course, Merlin had to add a light whistle in the background.

"Laveda. I have a favor to ask, it is about Kentucky. We are short staffed at the current rate, as you may have notice the horrible incident upon Valentine."

Merlin pushed his glasses several times upon the screen hoping the reflection of his glasses would be enough to dodge the length of questions that might be dished out from the woman - Laveda - due to the expression in his eyes. He knew very much this might be a lost battle as 'The Spider' - Laveda, had long in plant a seed among their system long before computer might existed. He still haven't even figure out what was the bug that Laveda long planted.

Laveda stretched her body ignoring Merlin in the process as her hand reached for her phone typing rapidly among the small screen, her eyes once in a while flicker toward the screen that held Merlin's image. Merlin wasn't going to push as he learnt the hard way while dealing with Laveda. He simply sat in his spot waiting patiently for Laveda to finish her investigation.

'Payment is a new version of your tablet. No argument.'

Laveda finished snooping around in the Kingsman server as she in ease replied back to Merlin letting her words flashed right onto Merlin's screen. Merlin groaned lightly but quickly agreed without arguing. After all... Laveda is very hard to hire.

'Don't try to track me.'

A second sentence flashed upon the screen as Merlin sighed in the end agreeing, as once again he was defeated by the mighty Spider.

Zip.

The screen went blank. Laveda paddle slowly around her apartment, flick and fumbling around various places. These include a few floor boards, head post, under pit of the drawer, along with kitchen. Of course, those was simply a small fraction of her total collection as the whole apartment was rigged to her own taste. Especially a room for a super computer that run on it's own energy. A safe for every room, a lot bugs hidden in every possible place and a mini jamer that can do magnetic stripping of any electronic device. Not to say, lots of weapon stash in the most innocent form of daily items. Laveda smirked lightly as knowing a lot of people tried to get into her place with no avail.

"It is absolutely terrifying, yet exciting to see you in those moods."

This innocent sentence made Laveda looked up as she smiled gently upon the tall lean man that was leaning against the door frame. She gave a cheeky grin before wager her finger gently indicating she didn't really care much.

"I know. I won't ... um... say anything. Right. I suppose. Right.... um, you know that whole Valentine thing could have killed everyone in another universe."

It wasn't spoken in a question as the man ran his fingers over his bald head before scratching the back of his head gently into a big grin smile. It was one of those ruthless and sadness mixed into one big smile that made Laveda halt her steps for a moment. She put down her bag as she walked up toward the man, using both hand she cupped up his face into her palm smiling gently.

'I know you will save me. The parallel universe isn't something you can help, but this universe, I know you will come to me, Theta.'

The Doctor spread his smile gently as he landed a light feather kiss upon her forehead.

"You are worth it. Off you go."

'You just love me that much.'

"Cheek."
