Who is Infinity?
This question lingered on among the universe as the most asked question next to "Doctor Who?" It was a question many would stumble upon and still couldn't tell the difference of now and then. Who is Infinity? What is Infinity? Theory? An concept? An element? No. Infinity was Time. Time was Infinity. Granted Infinity did sound much as forever in the universe. Maybe her other name sound much more familiar to many. The Big Bad Wolf.
The universe was formed from pitch blackness. Two collective mind had been sitting in pure darkness waiting for the formation of life. No one could be sure of how two collective mind came to this pitch darkness, though this was the start of Time and Death. Time had always understood how the universe spun itself into life, she always understood the cycle of life for before this current universe was born she had witness the former universe dying as it turned into dust.
Life was always in a cycle, though she never could understood the reason behind happiness, joy, fear, horror, and the many listed emotion that every living creature seem to union in each mind or culture. She couldn't understand as she watched the world spun from one life form to another life form. She watched the universe slowly formed various planet as she watched life sparked on each planet. Death always stood next to her as they both watched formation of each life form, than they would watch again as each life returned to the arms of Death.
The universe turned on it's own. Time decided to slumber slightly as it wasn't her position to interfere, Death considered it fun to watch each planet spur to life before falling into the preying hand of his death paws. Such twisted humor installed into Death's mind, Time couldn't grip upon how Death viewed of the universe. Death was Death in his own little twisted way.
The next time Time woke up to see her surrounding world, she became notice she wasn't merely a concision of mind, nor a vast wonder of knowledge. She was bound in a body. A body that could considered as a head and four limbs. Her vision came into contact with a vast land. She wondered why it happen, or the question shall be, how did this all happen during her slumber sleep. Death appeared and lightly laughed upon her confuse face.
"The minds upon this culture found you in this vast boring universe, and decided you shall be the god of their land... poor you, trap in a vessel that can't be broken unless this whole life cycle of this planet is dead."
Time gazed at Death. Death gazed back before that distinctive mischief smile was spread upon the pale face... wait. pale face? Since when the mind of Time had recognized the formation Death had taken upon? She didn't recall Death in any formation or look before she slumber...
"Since when Death decide to take upon such horrible form?"
"Since you, Time, got trap in a fragile body because they think a life cycle body could trap the essence of your mind."
Time could only frown, she didn't understand Death's irony words as she gazed down upon her body. Of course, she should have figured it out long before Death mention it. Her sight moved to inspecting her body as she held up the hand and slowly turned it than frown slowly. She could already see this vessel is fading in life already. Her essence were simply too powerful for any living to contain. She gazed up to Death again as she frowned.
'Run...'
Death didn't need a second time warning as the burst of power flung in a massive explosive crumbling everything in it's path. The vessel that held Time only burst into a string of golden light as before burned through melting into gold particles that gently floated down upon the vast red land. Slowly all gold particles sunk and soaked into the red land. Time gazed up seeing the twin light source up high as she gazed her surrounding. People were praying around her, praying to her about all sort of things. Time didn't understand any of it as she gazed down at her formation again.
This time her own essence had formed into a body. This time... Time could tell her essence had sunk into the core of this planet. It was just like the many life cycles she witness in every universe. She became a part of the life cycle and watched everything turned into dust. All Time needed to do was wait. The game of waiting for this planet to end.
