New York - Future - Pt 1

8527 A.D - New York

The sky rumbled faintly as if someone's belly had been rumbling due to hunger before the clouds violently shifted colors in a quick rapid manner before settling back to its original state of gray gloom. Oh. The sky had been like that forever... ever since the rift been open. It seems to become just a normal thing that people simply don't bat a single eye anymore upon this odd pattern of weather.

New York had become the center point of all madness as the binding of the parallel worlds seems to be the most normal thing, in this already chaos world. That been said, supernatural beings, creature beings, hyper cross over beings, and the many 'other' category of species seem to be the most normal thing upon the streets of New York. This been indicated previous, a bit of insight should be provided upon this paranormal sensation for the mass to understand the land.

It was roughly five years ago when this dramatic changed happen for the 'new era' of New York. That been said, the population of 'original' or 'native' species had finally risen back to pre-World War, correction, pre-biohazard war period. Though the atmosphere of Earth sadly still retained in a toxicity atmosphere even though it had become less condense. Human never returned back toward Earth, as Earth was considered as forbidden planet or somewhat regard as 'mythical danger planet' through the galaxy. Despite 2000 years had passed from the ruin period upon Earth, population upon the planet were still upon the lower count due to the nature of supernatural species. Only a few of the 'former' cities had finally sprung back into life. These cities include London, New York, Beijing, and Tokyo.

The 'new era' of New York was simply a blend of old ruin with new buildings that had the flair of Victorian style among it - feel free to blame the vampires as that group of species liked to stake the claim of 'oldest' crowd upon the land. It was also a city that built upon an island that seem far to say as simply an island. Once in a while, the grounds of New York seem to be alive, yet at times seem to be simply just an island. In truth, the island of New York was slap upon the rift of two worlds making the place half alive due to the energy of the rift seeping deep into the grounds.

The sky ramble again as the clouds seem to always simmer low upon the buildings again. Shadows of huge species seem to slowly roam through the city before disappearing among the clouds again. The sound of battle seem to be the most normal thing around the city, not to say dead bodies seem to be another normal scenery upon the rubbles of the streets.

It was just one of those days.

A human figure walked among this wired world. Correction. It should be stated as the only human that do walk upon this planet. A male figure that slowly paddle among the busy streets of New York, ruffling up his soft gray hair before stretching his slender limbs as he let his rumble suit slump back upon his figure. He yawned again as he walked efficiently away from the pavement avoiding the falling pieces from a nearby building. It was quite common in New York to stumble upon fallen building or mass destruction. After all, the rift between the two world was not that 'perfectly' in harmony. It also should be mention, battles upon the thrive to show power was another problem in this world, as species fought tooth to tooth with other species.

"Just another day...." The male faintly grumbled as turning around the corner before he was abruptly stopped by a large hand that intercepted his pathway. He slowly gazed up toward a 7-foot figure that had a huge eyeball spawning upon the top of its head that suddenly focus intensely upon him. "Seriously..." The male grumbled again as his mood just hit the pit bottom as the figure tried to block his way again as he turned his heels to roam away from a very forecastable result of the fight.

"You look so delicious, little.... being."

The sinister mechanic voice didn't alter nor frighten the male, instead, the male suddenly leaped upward using the building as support as he flicked his hand allowing a weapon formed into his hand before he made a motion of slicing down. Just as the male landed back down onto the ground the huge figure slowly collapses onto the ground before turning into a pile of dust.

"They just never learn," He muttered as he kept on walking while his weapon dissolved back into thin air. The male didn't stop until a few more blocks later as he walked into a glamour building.

'ID. Sir.' Once entered the building a machine voice spoke as an invisible force made all species unable to move forward.

Without much a word the male took out a badge and swiped upon a machine before he walked further in the building.

'Welcome back, Mister Kyro Kuros. The director is already waiting for you upon the top floor.'

The male - Kyro Kuros merely made a grunt sound as he waited impatiently for the elevator to appear while he ducked his head low. Kyro was really just in the mood to deal with 'brats' as he easily could tell a vampire stood behind him while a mutated elf stood beside him. He stood there tapping his feet gently upon the marble floor as he waited... waited.... waited.... until a large bang than rumble was heard and broken glass sound were made as if something flew out.

It was simply another day in the office for 'police enforcer' department of justice. Pathetic.

Present

2015 A.D.

Beep Beep Beep....

Smack.

A hand slowly creep out under the covers and quickly smacked upon the offending noise before rolling back into a ball. The figure snug even deeper into a yarn ball as the sun ray creep through the thick curtains. Finally the last straw of waking up the yarn ball was the constant beeping of the computer than follow with a disturbing ring tone ringing through the mobile. The hand reached out blindly toward the nightstand to try and stop the annoying ring tone.

The ring tone merely stopped for a moment before the computer screen located at the far end of the room light up popping up a video chat with a bald man sitting promptly waiting patiently for the figure among the bed to acknowledge him. After a long moment, it was clear such acknowledgement wouldn't be noticed. The bald man spoke in a odd humor tune.

"Spider. Itchy tiny little spider....."

It was the last straw needed for the figure to snap open her dark brown eyes to glare right at the bald man upon the screen. The motion... well it was a flip of the bird, a clear indication of her not so happy mood.

"Yikes, you are more cheery than normal."

The woman rolled her eyes faintly as she slowly slide herself upright leaning against the headboard as she made a tap tap motion to indicate her patients running extremely low. The bold man grumbled as he turned his head just a bit to hear someone on the back calling his name,

"Merlin! I need that escape route right now! Holly Shit, they are after me!"

The bold man - Merlin gave an irritated look as he typed away as he grumble under his breath, "They think I'm some sort of machine, I mean... We all know there are two A.I machine battling in United States... I really don't need to input into that battle field."

The woman rolled her eyes as she slide out of her bed as she let her lethal nudity body been seen in daylight. Of course, Merlin had to add a light whistle in the background.

"Laveda. I have a favor to ask, it is about Kentucky. We are short staffed at the current rate, as you may have notice the horrible incident upon Valentine."

Merlin pushed his glasses several times upon the screen hoping the reflection of his glasses would be enough to dodge the length of questions that might be dished out from the woman - Laveda - due to the expression in his eyes. He knew very much this might be a lost battle as 'The Spider' - Laveda, had long in plant a seed among their system long before computer might existed. He still haven't even figure out what was the bug that Laveda long planted.

Laveda stretched her body ignoring Merlin in the process as her hand reached for her phone typing rapidly among the small screen, her eyes once in a while flicker toward the screen that held Merlin's image. Merlin wasn't going to push as he learnt the hard way while dealing with Laveda. He simply sat in his spot waiting patiently for Laveda to finish her investigation.

'Payment is a new version of your tablet. No argument.'

Laveda finished snooping around in the Kingsman server as she in ease replied back to Merlin letting her words flashed right onto Merlin's screen. Merlin groaned lightly but quickly agreed without arguing. After all... Laveda is very hard to hire.

'Don't try to track me.'

A second sentence flashed upon the screen as Merlin sighed in the end agreeing, as once again he was defeated by the mighty Spider.

Zip.

The screen went blank. Laveda paddle slowly around her apartment, flick and fumbling around various places. These include a few floor boards, head post, under pit of the drawer, along with kitchen. Of course, those was simply a small fraction of her total collection as the whole apartment was rigged to her own taste. Especially a room for a super computer that run on it's own energy. A safe for every room, a lot bugs hidden in every possible place and a mini jamer that can do magnetic stripping of any electronic device. Not to say, lots of weapon stash in the most innocent form of daily items. Laveda smirked lightly as knowing a lot of people tried to get into her place with no avail.

"It is absolutely terrifying, yet exciting to see you in those moods."

This innocent sentence made Laveda looked up as she smiled gently upon the tall lean man that was leaning against the door frame. She gave a cheeky grin before wager her finger gently indicating she didn't really care much.

"I know. I won't ... um... say anything. Right. I suppose. Right.... um, you know that whole Valentine thing could have killed everyone in another universe."

It wasn't spoken in a question as the man ran his fingers over his bald head before scratching the back of his head gently into a big grin smile. It was one of those ruthless and sadness mixed into one big smile that made Laveda halt her steps for a moment. She put down her bag as she walked up toward the man, using both hand she cupped up his face into her palm smiling gently.

'I know you will save me. The parallel universe isn't something you can help, but this universe, I know you will come to me, Theta.'

The Doctor spread his smile gently as he landed a light feather kiss upon her forehead.

"You are worth it. Off you go."

'You just love me that much.'

"Cheek."
